Barack Obama puts President Bill Clinton on short leash.

The Clinton-Obama turmoil continues in Denver; now it's Bill | Top of the Ticket | Los Angeles Times

Former President Bill Clinton is reportedly miffed that he's been given the assignment Wednesday night of selling Americans on Obama as a better commander-in-chief than Sen. John McCain, the all-but-official Republican presidential nominee.

Evidently, the former president would've preferred to talk about domestic policy and the economy in order to trash-talk the Republicans who he sees as destroying the prosperity and trend towards growing economic equality that characterized his presidency nearly a decade ago.

President Bill Clinton

Former President Bill Clinton is very upset. Senator Barack Obama is giving the former president an assignment, I want you to say this, that I, Barack Obama, would be a better Commander in Chief. Now sell this to the American public, so I can be president. I don't think Bill Clinton is sold on this. He is still upset with Obama for playing the race card on him.

So what did Bill Clinton say? Clinton, suggested she, Hillary, may lose Saturday's Democratic presidential primary, in South Carolina, because many black voters will side with Obama. Half of the Democrat voters in South Carolina where black. The ex-president also said, "When he put out a hit job on me at the same time he called her the senator from Punjab, I never said a word." Last year, Obama's campaign circulated a memo describing Hillary Clinton as "D-Punjab," a reference to her Indian-American donors. Obama has said that was a mistake.

When asked if there was any contention over Bill Clinton’s speech,
Obama was quick to note what he told Clinton on the phone on Thursday. “I said, 'Mr. President you can say whatever you like,'” Obama said. “Bill Clinton is a unique figure in our politics... It wouldn’t make sense to me to try and edit his remarks.”

Barack Obama said he would not try to edit Clintons remarks but this is what Andy Borowitz reported on the Huffington Post; Former President Bill Clinton's speech at the Democratic National Convention in Denver Wednesday night will be broadcast on a five-second delay similar to that used to screen callers on talk radio programs, party officials confirmed today.

The five-second delay, customarily used to censor callers who might use profanity or other unacceptable speech on a radio show, has never before been used in the broadcast of a speech by a former President of the United States, experts believe.

So no matter what happy face the Clintons put on, they are pissed at Obama and are saying it through their teeth. At this convention, the well-reported rift is between the Obamaphiles and the Clintonphiles and it's the continuing narrative. Also, since Obama doesn't have much of a national-security or foreign policy track record, to speak of, what is Clinton supposed to speak of? That's a fairly challenging assignment, even for a renowned campaigner as ex-president Clinton.

Now John McCain is going for Obama,s jugular with all of his latest ads. And the ads are working. John McCain’s campaign launched a new attack ad Wednesday against Barack Obama in an attempt to destroy the Democratic presidential candidate’s credibility during the same week he accepts his party’s nomination.

McCain’s ad, entitled “Tiny,” is designed to undermine the theme of Democratic convention’s third night, national security.

Barack Obama's Vice President pick, Joe Biden, big Yawn.

Obama’s VP Pick Changes Few Minds, Poll Shows - America’s Election HQ

Sen. Joe Biden passes the first test of a vice presidential pick, according to a new USA Today/Gallup poll — he does no harm.

But the survey shows the veteran Delaware senator may not help Barack Obama much either.

The poll, taken Saturday of 876 registered voters, showed just 14 percent of registered voters said Obama’s choice makes them more likely to vote for him. Seven percent said Biden makes them less likely to vote for Obama.

And a whopping 72 percent said he will not have much effect on their decision.

Senator Joe Biden

You know the whole idea of picking someone to be your vice president is not to have someone to challenge your ideas or to speak his mine. The idea is to have someone who will help you win the presidency. Someone who will help you win states in order to get more electoral votes to win the presidency. Obama needed someone the get the populace excited about the ticket. Like a good quarter back and wide receiver combo. A unique team.

I don't know why Obama picked Senator Joe Biden. He brings no excitement to the team. It is like picking up an old receiver for your team. No one was excited about him when he ran for president. When the first primary in Iowa was finish, Biden did so poorly in the showing he was one of the first two candidates, out of 8, to drop out. No one was excited about him for president. No one will be excited about him for vice president.

Now a poll taken Saturday of 876 registered voters, show that 72 percent said that Biden had no effect on their voting. Does this mean they already decided? Seven percent said Biden makes them less likely to vote for Obama. I wonder how many of these 72 percent are Democrats or Republicans? And if the 7 percent are Hillary voters. However, 57 percent viewed him as “qualified.” Something is going on here. I mean 43 percent don't? These must be Republicans. Obama better pray these are not Hillary Clinton voters.

So what is the end result? Biden has no effect on Obama's poll numbers. If Barack Obama doesn't come out of the Democrat convention with a big jump in the polls, like 15 percent, he's toast. This summer Obama has been on the ropes, while McCain came out swinging. Question; Does Barack Obama have a glass jaw?

Widespread Panic as Barack Obama falls in Political Polls

Campaign observers: Time is ripe for Obama to step up his game

It's not panic time - yet - but some Democrats watching Barack Obama say his campaign should have gotten a wake-up call this week, not only from his appearance alongside John McCain at the Saddleback Church but from a major poll suggesting he no longer leads his GOP opponent.

At the Saddleback forum with Pastor Rick Warren on Saturday in San
Diego, the Republican presidential candidate delivered on-the-money
messages and answers so effective they were "scary to me," said George Lakoff, a renowned author and UC Berkeley linguistics professor who has studied how the human brain absorbs and processes messages.

Pastor Rick Warren

There is widespread panic among Democrats as Barack Obama falls in national political polls. In the new Reuters/Zogby poll John McCain leads Barack Obama by 5-points among likely U.S. voters. McCain has 46 percent to Obama's 41 percent. Just last month in July, Reuters/Zogby had Obama with a solid 7-point lead.

What is happening? Well according to pollster John Zogby, "There is no doubt the campaign to discredit Obama is paying off for McCain right now. This is a significant ebb for Obama."

The Democrats and their media helpers, have said that this economy is so bad as a result of President Bushes policies. Remember the economy is the number one issue on the public's mine. They, the Democrats, are pushing the idea that if you elect McCain, he will be just another George Bush. Bush's third term. But McCain now has a 9-point lead over Obama when it comes to who would be the best manager of the economy. McCain has 49 percent to Obama's 40 percent.

Barack Obama should have gotten a wake-up call at the Saddleback Church. Senator John McCain cleaned Obama's clock. In fact John McCain did so well, that Obama's surrogates called foul. They claimed that McCain cheated.

In a panic, some Democrats say it's clear Obama needs to sharpen his message and get tougher on beating back attacks from McCain's campaign. Others are saying that Obama's message of change needs to be revamped. Change toward what end?

Some are saying that Obama is the new Jimmy Carter. He is showing weakness in dealing with the Clinton;s and a lack of strength and resolve in standing up to Russia. As widespread panic among Democrats heat up, keep an eye on Barack Obama. You will start to hear him say crazy things and accuse McCain of lying and cheating.

Did Barack Obama call Justice Clarence Thomas an Uncle Tom?

Conservatives Slam Obama’s Answer About Supreme Court Justices at Saddleback Forum - America’s Election HQ

A former law clerk for Clarence Thomas is leading a pack of critics who say Barack Obama’s comments about the Supreme Court justice reveal the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee’s ignorance and misunderstanding of the Constitution.

During the symposium, Obama said he would not have nominated Thomas to the bench because “I don’t think that he was a strong enough jurist or legal thinker at the time for that elevation. Setting aside the fact that I profoundly disagree with his interpretation of a lot of the Constitution.”

Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas

Before I get into this post, we must first get a definition on the term "Uncle Tom." Here is the Wikipedia definition; Uncle Tom is a pejorative for a black person who is perceived by others as behaving in a subservient manner to White American authority figures, or as seeking ingratiation with them by way of unnecessary accommodation.

It is commonly used to describe black people whose political views or allegiances are considered by their critics as detrimental to blacks as a group.

First Pastor Rick Warren asked which existing Supreme Court Justice would you not have nominated? Obama had seven to pick from, four are very conservative, but he picked the black man as the one he would not have nominated.

Second, is Obama a critic of Justice Clarence Thomas? During the symposium, Obama said he would not have nominated Thomas to the bench because “I don’t think that he was a strong enough jurist or legal thinker at the time for that elevation. Setting aside the fact that I profoundly disagree with his interpretation of a lot of the
Constitution.”

And third, does Barack Obama feel the same way as most black people? To this day, to black people, Clarence Thomas is one of the most despised and reviled characters in modern black history.

Looking at these three points, we must agree that Barack Obama believes that Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is an "Uncle Tom."

Barack Obama Lied, Voted No to Born Alive Act

Michael Gerson - Obama's Abortion Extremism - washingtonpost.com

Obama's record on abortion is extreme. He opposed the ban on partial-birth abortion -- a practice a fellow Democrat, the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, once called "too close to infanticide." Obama strongly criticized the Supreme Court decision upholding the partial-birth ban. In the Illinois state Senate, he opposed a bill similar to the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, which prevents the killing of infants mistakenly left alive by abortion. And now Obama has oddly claimed that he would not want his daughters to be "punished with a baby" because of a crisis pregnancy -- hardly a welcoming attitude toward new life.

CNN: Barack Obama's opposition to Born Alive Act

As I watched the campaign for president of the United States, I wondered why this time no Democrat was talking about Senator John McCain's pro-life position. Every time a new Supreme Court Justice is selected, the very first thing that the democrats bring up is his pro-life position. They want to know how the new Justice will vote when it comes to Roe vs Wade. But they have been quite on McCain's position and now we know why.

When Senator Barack Obama was asked about his no vote on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, this was his responce.

The presumptive Democratic nominee responded sharply in an interview Saturday night with the Christian Broadcast Network, saying anti-abortion groups were "lying" about his record.

"They have not been telling the truth," Mr. Obama said. "And I hate to say that people are lying, but here's a situation where folks are lying."

The person who is lying, is Barack Obama. Caught between a rock and a hard place, rather than tell the truth and take it like a man. Obama cowred and lied. Didn't Obama know, that people could look at the records and see who was really lying?

His campaign yesterday acknowledged that he had voted against an identical bill in the state Senate because it could have undermined existing Illinois abortion law. But Douglas Johnson, director of the National Right to Life Committee, said the version Mr. Obama voted down clearly applied only to fetuses that emerged from the womb alive.

What does this mean, fetuses that emerge from the womb alive?

During the abortion procedure, the last thing they do is induce labor to expel the fetus and what remains.
The fetus sometimes can survive if the abortion doctor doesn't do a good job on killing the fetus first.
Than after labor, if the fetus is alive, which becomes a baby, Obama wants to let it die from neglect.

Will Hillary Clinton Hijack the Democratic Convention from Barack Obama.

Hillary Clinton's name to be placed in nomination at convention - Los Angeles Times

WASHINGTON -- A Democratic National Convention that is supposed to showcase Barack Obama will devote a considerable amount of time to Hillary Rodham Clinton and her family, with the two campaigns announcing an agreement Thursday to formally enter her name into nomination.

The development means that during the state-by-state vote on a nominee for president, delegates will have the option of choosing Clinton rather than Obama -- giving supporters a chance to cheer her candidacy one last time.

Senator Hillary Clinton

I was shocked when I heard this. A few weeks ago it didn't look like the Clintons where going to play a large roll in the Democratic Convention. Now a lot of time has been given to Hillary Clinton and her family, President Bill Clinton and their daughter, Chelsea Clinton.
The first thought that came to my mine, was that Hillary will try to hijack the Democratic Convention from Barack Obama and take the nomination.

What is Hillary Clinton up to?
On Aug. 6 2008, Asked whether or not her name would be placed into nomination at the convention, Clinton did not rule out the possibility and said, "Senator Obama and I share the goal of ensuring that the voices of everyone who participated in this historic process are respected." Did we hear Hillary say this same thing when ask why she would not just drop out and let Obama finish the primaries? Yes!

How did Hillary's name get placed into nomination? The agreement between the Obama and Clinton advisers was the culmination of
more than two months of talks between the two camps and followed intense pressure from the former First Lady's aggrieved supporters.
So this happened because of intense pressure from Hillary Clinton.

But the deal was a blow to Mr Obama's early hopes that Mrs Clinton would direct her 1,896 delegates to join his 2,230 in a unanimous acclamation of his nomination as the first black presidential candidate of a major American party.

In public Hillary shows one face. "Sen. Clinton is 100 percent committed to helping Barack Obama become the next president of the United States." But in private she hopes the development means that during the state-by-state vote on a nominee for president, delegates will have the option of choosing Clinton rather than Obama.

I think this is what the Clintons are praying for. Barack Obama might have just shoot himself in the foot.

John McCain Sharper Tone than Barack Obama on Russia.

On Georgia Crisis, McCain's Tone Grows Sharper - washingtonpost.com

Aides to Republican Sen. John McCain were scrambling last Thursday morning even as his plane was descending into Des Moines. Russia had escalated its aggression in the bordering Republic of Georgia, they told reporters, and McCain wanted to seize the moment.

On the ground in Iowa, advance men raced to erect a podium on the
tarmac, just feet from McCain's plane. The Republican nominee strode to the microphone for the first of several blistering statements condemning Russia's moves, delivering his comments well before President Bush spoke publicly about the incident.

Senator John McCain

Senator John McCain came running out of the gates, to show the American public that he is ready to answer that 3am phone call and react to the situation. Barack Obama adviser Susan Rice said "We were dealing with the facts as we knew them. John McCain shot from the hip, very aggressive, belligerent statement. He may or may not have complicated the situation."

So when the 3am phone call came Obama said, "let's wait until we get all the information before we respond." The Washington Post said, Obama has confronted the crisis in Georgia in more modulated tones, initially sounding closer to Bush than McCain. This is not true, the initial response of Bush was closer to McCain, not Obama.

Here is Obama's initial response, Monday, August 11th, four days after the 3am phone call. After President George Bush and Senator John McCain already responded.

"Russia must stop its bombing campaign and flights in
Georgian airspace, which started four days earlier, and withdraw ground forces from Georgia. "The Georgian government has proposed a cease-fire and the Russian government should, how about must, accept it. There is also an urgent need for humanitarian assistance,I think we have to stop this first, to reach the people of Georgia, and casualties on both sides." He urged the United Nations to send a mediator to join a French and Finnish delegation in Georgia

"We should, how about must, also convene other international forums to condemn this aggression,by who?, to call for an immediate halt to the violence, and to review multilateral and bilateral arrangements with Russia -- including Russia's interest in joining the World Trade Organization," Obama said.

You know with this comment, Senator Obama almost sounds like a communist sympathizer. You know in his speech to the world Obama said; The size of our forces was no match for the much larger Soviet Army. And yet retreat would have allowed Communism to march across Europe. Where the last war had ended, another World War could have easily begun. All that stood in the way was Berlin. This is not the truth according to President Ronald Reagan.

Barack Obama will get that 3am phone call and wait four days until he gets all the facts then react. Maybe too late!

Russia and Georgia War, Barack Obama , Is he a Leader?

FOXNews.com - Russia, Georgia Risk Larger War as Attacks Continue Into Morning - International News | News of the World | Middle East News | Europe News

DZHAVA, Georgia — Russia dispatched an armored column into the breakaway enclave of South Ossetia on Friday after Georgia, a staunch U.S. ally, launched a surprise offensive to crush separatists. Witnesses said hundreds of civilians were killed.

Fighting reportedly raged well into the night with Georgia's interior ministry saying early Saturday that warplanes attacked three Georgian military bases and key facilities for shipping oil to the West.

Russia attacks Georgia.

Did this conflict just started or has it been going on for sometime now? If you just started reading or listening to the news, you would think that this just started. That everyone in the world was getting along and that we just messed up things in Iraq. But this tension has been going on for a while now. Back in April NATO warned Russia to stop undermining Georgia’s territorial integrity, after Moscow announced it would send more peace keepers to two rebel Georgian regions.

Now why is Russia doing this? Here is a clue. U.S. Ambassador Zalmay Khalilzad exchanged sharp words with the Russian ambassador on Sunday, accusing Moscow of seeking "regime change" in Georgia and resisting attempts to make peace after days of fighting have left hundreds of civilians dead.

"I'd like to say straightaway that regime change is an American
expression," Churkin said. "We do not use such an expression (In Russia). But sometimes there are occasions, and we know from history, that there are different leaders who come to power, either democratically or semi-democratically, and they become an obstacle."

So now we know why thousands of civilians are dying, Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili is an obstacle. What will be the United States response?

President Bush on Monday warned of a "dramatic and brutal escalation" of violence by Russia in the former Soviet republic of Georgia. He pressed Moscow to accept an immediate cease-fire and to pull back its troops.

He demanded an immediate cease-fire, the withdrawal of Russian troops from the conflict zone and a return to the status quo as of Aug. 6.

Senator John McCain said; "Russian President Medvedev and Prime Minister Putin must understand the severe, long-term negative consequences that their government's actions will have for Russia's relationship with the U.S. and Europe,"

Describing the Russian actions in the conflict as "Moscow's path of violent aggression," the Arizona senator suggested that Russia's aim may be to overthrow the pro-U.S. government in Georgia.

Senator Barack Obama; Russia must stop its bombing campaign and flights in Georgian airspace, and withdraw ground forces from Georgia. "The Georgian government has proposed a cease-fire and the Russian government should accept it. There is also an urgent need for humanitarian assistance to reach the people of Georgia, and casualties on both sides." He urged the United Nations to send a mediator to join a French and Finnish delegation in Georgia.

"We should also convene other international forums to condemn this aggression, to call for an immediate halt to the violence, and to review multilateral and bilateral arrangements with Russia -- including Russia's interest in joining the World Trade Organization,"

Now I want you to read the response from Bush and McCain. Then read the response from Obama. Doesn't Bush and McCain sound like your father? And Obama sound like your mother?

Barack Obama still all talk and no action. Can he lead?

Gas Prices fall as Crude Oil Increases

http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=newsarchive&sid=a6NQe8YC4OTYBloomberg.com: U.S.

Aug. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Crude oil fell to $118 a barrel on speculation Tropical Storm Edouard won't damage U.S. Gulf facilities and as slower U.S. economic growth limits the appeal of commodity investments.

Will Gas Come Down at the Pump?

The question you must ask is why did the price of crude oil drop? If you read the article above you will see that in the last four weeks crude oil supplies rose as if more oil was being pumped out of the ground but the article also said that fuel consumption was lower those four weeks. This proves if we increase the supply the price of oil will drop.

President Bush said in his radio address: "To reduce pressure on prices, we need to increase the supply of oil, especially oil produced here at home," It was the fourth time this week that he has called for Congress to end the drilling restrictions off the Atlantic and Pacific coasts and in the eastern Gulf of Mexico.

The Congressional Democrats don't want us to drill for more oil. They argue that the big oil companies already have large areas of federal land and offshore water where they can drill now. Now this is foolish.

Let's compare this to gold mining. If the gold miners want to look for more gold some where else and not keep on digging in the same hole, there is a reason. The gold is getting harder to get or they are slowly running out of gold. If there was gold, next to the mine on the same property, why would they want to go and mine some where else and maybe not find gold? The same with the oil companies they are in the business to produce oil.

Since our country's whole economic system is based on oil, it's almost imposable to replace it in 10 years or maybe even 50 years. You take the chance of killing our economy by reducing our oil and not first finding an abundant source of something else.

So the answer to the question: How do you get the gas prices, at the pump, to drop? Well it happened in the 1970's. Saudi Arabia, trying to gain back market share, increased production and caused downward pressure on prices, making high-cost oil production facilities less profitable or even unprofitable. The world price of oil, which had reached a peak in 1979 during the 1979 energy crisis, at more than $80 per barrel, decreased during the early 1980s to $38 per barrel.

So we must drill and we must drill now. Even though this oil will take time to reach the market, it will cause downward pressure on prices. So the price at the pump will drop.

Yes Democrats, we can drill ourselves out of this.

Barack Obama's Energy Plan tried in 1973, Old School.

Political Radar: The Long & Short of Obama's Energy Plan

As part of Obama’s long term plan he calls for: A goal of having one million 150 miles-per-gallon plug in hybrids on the roads by 2015. A requirement that 10% of energy comes from renewable sources by the end of his first term, including extending the Production Tax credit for 5 years to encourage the production of renewable energy resources. A goal to reduce the demand for electricity by 15% by the end of the next decade by implementing energy efficient programs.

While admitting that his plan “sounds like a pie in the sky,” Obama told the crowd that the adoption of his proposal would produce renewable energy to replace all the oil imported from the Middle East in ten years.

Obama's 150 miles-per-gallon plug in.

Barack Obama mouthed off about John McCain has been in congress for twenty-six years and did little about dependence on foreign oil. Obama doesn't know his history, his “New Energy for America” plan was tried in 1973. I asked the question, where is that plan today?

Here is the 1973 Plan:

To help reduce consumption, in 1974 a national maximum speed limit of 55 mph (about 90 km/h) was imposed through the Emergency Highway Energy Conservation Act.

Year-round daylight saving time was implemented from January 6, 1974 to February 23, 1975. The move spawned significant criticism because it forced many children to commute to school before sunrise

A campaign by the Advertising Council using the tag line "Don't Be Fuelish." Many newspapers carried full-page advertisements that featured cut-outs which could be attached to light switches, reading "Last Out, Lights Out: Don't Be Fuelish."

The "Big Three" U.S. automakers' began a U.S. Department of Transportation mandated
downsizing of existing automobiles. The energy crisis led to greater interest in
renewable energy and spurred research in solar power and wind power. It also led to
greater pressure to exploit North American oil sources, and increased the West's
dependence on coal and nuclear power. This included increased interest in mass transit.

In the U.S., drivers of vehicles with license plates having an odd number as the last digit
(or a vanity license plate) were allowed to purchase gasoline for their cars only on
odd-numbered days of the month, while drivers of vehicles with even-numbered license
plates were allowed to purchase fuel only on even-numbered days.

Now with all of this plan in effect, is this what made the price of oil go down? No. Saudi
Arabia, trying to gain back market share, increased production and caused
downward pressure on prices, making high-cost oil production facilities less profitable or
even unprofitable.

So all the Democrats are wrong. Drilling for oil off our shores will increase production
and cause downward pressure on gas prices.

Obama Flip Flops on Offshore Drilling moves toward the Republican Party.

Obama Says Energy Compromise Is Necessary - washingtonpost.com

TITUSVILLE, Fla., Aug. 2 -- Sen. Barack Obama on Saturday said a shift in his stance on offshore oil drilling is a necessary compromise with Republicans to gain their support for his broader goals of energy independence.

On Friday, Obama indicated a willingness to support an effort by five
Democratic senators and five Republicans to break Congress's energy
impasse with legislation that would allow expanded offshore oil
exploration and embrace ambitious energy efficiency and efforts to
develop alternative fuels.

Off Shore Oil Rig

Barack Obama said that he must take a shift in his stance to get some Republicans on his side for the bigger picture on energy. I will have to give Obama credit on this one. He sees that he must compromise to get things done in congress. Obama sees that 73 percent of Americans favor offshore drilling.

But if Barack Obama becomes President he will have problems with the Queen Bee, Nancy Pelosi. Speaker Nancy Pelosi won't allow the House of Representatives to vote on the Republican bill to lift the drilling ban even though she said "I accept this gavel in the spirit of partnership, not partisanship, and I look forward to working with you, and the Republicans in Congress for the good of the American people."

Nancy Pelosi explained to Politico: "I'm trying to save the planet; I'm trying to save the planet."This cannot be permitted. Nancy Pelosi reminds me of the Queen in Alice in Wonderland. When her subject did not do what she wanted, she would yell, "Off with their heads."

I am proud of the Republicans as they continue with their guerilla tactics from last week, House Republicans will be back on the floor Monday to talk gas prices, even though Congress is in recess, and they may stay there all week.

To encourage the Republicans, remember the stand of Democrat Senator Jim Webb. Sen. Jim Webb, D-Virginia, opened and then immediately gaveled the
Senate session to a close. He spent 57 seconds in the chamber.

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nevada, announced December 19 that he would keep the Senate open with a series of "pro forma" sessions through mid-January. This was done to stop the President of the United States, George W Bush, from making any recess appointments.

With Democrat leaders in congress like, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid, we don't need Barack Obama to be President of the United States.

Polls Show Obama Losing Older Women Voters

OBAMA’S WOMEN PROBLEM at DickMorris.com

If soccer moms determined the outcome of the 1996 presidential race and security moms tipped the balance in 2004, it is beginning to look as if older moms are the key to the 2008 contest. Obama has a problem among women over 40 and a big problem among women over 50. These groups, normally the staunchest of Democratic supporters, are showing a propensity to back McCain and a disinclination to support Obama.

Older Women Voters.

It seems that Barack Obama is having a problem connecting with older women. What is the problem? The polls don't tell us the race of these women, so it must be women of all races. First you know that all of the older black women will vote for Obama, I don't blame them, they are proud. Since the majority of older women are white, you could come up with the conclusion that maybe they are prejudice. But men are voting the way they usually do. So if it was prejudice this would be the group you would see it in.

I think Barack Obama's problem with older women stems from his run against Hillary Clinton. Approximately 10 percent of Hillary Clinton voters in the primary season now belong to the "Just Say No" coalition, a collection of groups devoted to keeping Barack Obama out of the presidency. Is this group of women at "Just say no" of any importance? Will Bower, co-founder of PUMA/Just Say No Deal, an exploding coalition of voters who say they have raised $10 million in just days to pay down Clinton's campaign debt. This is serious.

Now more than two million, based on donation and other records, are
determined to protest the nominating process and push for an open
convention in Denver this August. Is this the reason "Barack Obama wants to give his acceptance speech in a stadium because he intends to minimize any pro-Hillary supporter dissent?

Women were created to nurture and always willing to help those in need. In their eyes, they see a man (Obama) taking advantage of a women (Hillary) and they are coming to her defense. Older women are always for the underdog.

Barack Obama has a big problem. He must bring these older women back into his fold and we know Hillary Clinton will not be VP. Hillary Clinton is schedule to speek on the third day of the convention, after the Democrat Vice President nonminee.

I think Dick Morris is right, older moms are the key to the 2008 contest.
