Stop mailing your bills. Study says go green, go online.

Still mail bills? Study says go green, go online | Technology | Reuters
Think your family going green won't make a difference? Wrong , says a U.S. study released on Thursday that shows one household ditching paper statements for Web transactions would save 24 square feet of forest a year. The study found the average U.S. household receives about 19 bills and statements from credit card companies and banks every month and makes about seven payments by paper each month. By switching to electronic bills, statements and payments, the average American household would save 6.6 pounds of paper a year, save 0.08 trees, and not produce 171 pounds of greenhouse gases -- the equivalent of driving 169 miles. New York (Reuters)

I think this is a good idea and this will be the way of the future. As our younger computer savvy generation gets older, receiving bills and paying on line will be the norm. But the older generation, 45 and older, are afraid of the computer and don't use it much. Plus they don't trust paying their bills on line. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

But by reading this story, I came up with an idea how more people can become green and saving more of the forest. They can become more green by canceling their daily newspaper. By canceling your daily newspaper , the average American household would save 365 pounds of paper a year, save 4.42 trees, and not produce 9,405 pounds of greenhouse gases -- the equivalent of driving 9,295 miles. If people would cancel their New York Times, Washington Post or Los Angeles Times papers, we might be able to save a forest.

After everyone cancels their daily newspaper, then they can get their news from their computer and the older generation can get their news from radio or television. If you can, go ahead and pay your bills on line and save a trickle. Cancel your daily paper and you save an ocean. You might even be able to save your mind.

Why is Limbaugh urging Republicans to vote for Clinton?

CNN Political Ticker: All politics, all the time Blog Archive - Limbaugh urges listeners to vote for Clinton « - Blogs from CNN.com
As Hillary Clinton battles to keep her presidential bid alive, she may be getting help from an unlikely source: conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh. Limbaugh has been actively urging his Texas listeners to cross and vote for Clinton in that state's open primary Tuesday, arguing it helps the Republicans if the Democratic race remains unsettled for weeks to come. "I want Hillary to stay in this .. this is too good a soap opera," Limbaugh told fellow conservative talk-show host Laura Ingraham on Fox News Friday. He reiterated the comments on his Monday show and replayed the exchange with Ingram. CNN Politics.com 4 Mar 2008.

Sorry, I had to post this on my blog. Today Rush Limbaugh was on the front page of Diggs twice, about the same topic. Can you believe this all started three weeks ago? As Rush says, about everyday on his radio show, "It's working and I am loving it". This is a great idea that Rush has come up with and his listeners are responding.

What I want to share with you is, why I think it is working. For a long time the Democrats have been getting away with attacks on the Republicans and the Republicans have not been fighting back. When the Democrats lost both the House and the Senate they started fighting dirty. Then when the Democrats lost both the 2000 and 2004 elections, everyday they bashed President George Bush and he didn't fight back. The Republican voters have had enough. They just needed a little push and Rush gave it to them.

The Republican voter, with the push and guidance from Rush Limbaugh, are lining up not in hundreds, but thousands. These voters can't wait to give it back to the Democrats. These voters can't wait to get down in the dirt and stick it to ones who have been bashing the Republican, without anyone fighting back. If Rush would ask them to stop doing what they are doing, they will not listen. Now they have the taste of blood and can't wait to give it to the Democrats. Can you blame them?

Obama in Center of Racial Divide

Obama Finds Pulpit in Center of Racial Divide - washingtonpost.com
"Like other black churches, Trinity's services are full of raucous laughter and sometimes bawdy humor." Obama said . " The church contains in full the kindness and cruelty, the fierce intelligence and the shocking ignorance, the struggles and successes, the love and, the bitterness and bias that make up the black experience in America." Some of Wright's words, Obama said, reflect an anger and bitterness still felt within Wright's battle-scarred generation. Such feelings should be addressed and understood, not wished away, Obama said, in and effort to heal and transcend racial divides. By Adelle M. Banks Religion News Service.

Obama you said, "in an effort to heal and transcend racial divides"? Have we not been doing this since the 1960's? Most of those hate mongers among the whites are dead now and have meet their maker. In fact relations among whites and blacks are better today but I guess not in the black churches. I guess, I being white, never knew this was going on in the black churches. I thought they were preaching the Gospels of Christ. Obama do you know what that is? Not the gospel of hate, the Devil's gospel.

You said that Rev. Wright, and his generation, is full of anger and bitterness toward white people. How do you know this? What are the teaching's of Jesus Christ one to another? He never taught his followers to hate their enemies and never to forgive them.

Jesus Christ, a Jew, was almost beaten to death by some Roman soldiers, white men. They stuck thorns in His head and nailed His hands and feet to a cross. And as He hung their dying He looked up and ask God to forgive those white Roman soldiers because He already did.

Obama if the blacks in American need healing, than Rev, Wright and other black ministers are preaching the wrong words. They need to look to the words of Our Savior Jesus Christ, as He hung there on that cross. Father forgive them, for they don't know what they do.

House Defies Bush on Wiretaps

House Defies Bush on Wiretaps
Can you believe this? We are heading back to the 1990's where we were attacked abroad by terrorist almost every year. We were not listening in 2001 and we had 911. The Republicans want us to be protected, the Democrats don't. How can I say that? If you owned a business and if you could be sued out of business if you help the Government, would you? No. You would take your chances and tell the Government to take a hike.

Do the Democrats hate George W. Bush so much they want to put us at risk? If you don't think this is a game, then why are Democrats voting along party lines. The F.B.I. knows everything about you, it all started with J. Edgar Hoover who was director for 48 years. The credit companies know everything about you. And there is more information out there about you that you don't even know. With in 24 hours after 911, we knew all the names of the attackers and we had their pictures. Where do you think this information was? But now we can't listen to them.

I bet you if Bill Clinton was in office today the Democrats would vote different, and the Republicans would not vote along party lines. How do I know? Because they backed President Clinton every time when it came to national security. It is time for the Democrats to stop playing games.

U.S. diesel ships and trains, EPA tightens rules.

Diesel-powered ships and trains must cut soot emissions by 2030, under new regulations signed Friday by U.S. Environmental Protection Agency administrator Stephen Johnson. "Today EPA is fitting another important piece into the clean diesel puzzle by cleaning emissions from our trains and boats," Johnson said by telephone from the Port of Houston, where he made the announcement. The air pollution rules won rare, uniform praise from several national environmental and industry groups but did nothing to satisfy Southern California air regulators struggling with pollution from the nation's largest port complex. "It's too little, too late," said Barry Wallerstein, executive officer of South Coast Air Quality Management District. Large, oceangoing vessels are linked to about 800 premature deaths in the region each year. By Janet Wilson, Los Angeles Times.

Here we go again, tightening the rules on U.S. ships and trains when most of the ships in our ports are foreign. I live here in New Orleans and when you look out on the Mississippi River you will see a lot ships, foreign ships. We are going to make the U.S. ship owners spent money fixing these old ships to burn less smog producing fuels. It is like putting a new engine in your old car, is it cost effective? They are just going to sell their ships to foreign countries or move their business to a foreign country, still emitting smog and pollution.

Our trains will be cleaner but don't think this will help much with global warming, if you believe in it, because the rest of the worlds trains will still emit their pollution. China and India is growing by leaps and bounds. Their pollution is growing by leaps and bounds. Trying to clean up pollution here in the U.S. is like making people rake the leaves in their yards even though you know the leave in the neighbors yard will blow back into their yards. Instead of making laws and forcing people not to pollute, why not educated and let them do it on there own. You don't trust them?

Surge has reduced Violence, Recent Attacks in Iraq is no trend.

A rash of deadly bombings blamed on al-Quida in Iraq does not represent an upward trend in overall violence, which has plummeted around the country in recent months, the U.S. military said Sunday. One of the reasons for the drop is a cease-fire called by anti-U.S. Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr. On Sunday the cleric called on his supporters to work on transforming his lethal and powerful Mahdi Army into a charitable organization. "There is no contradiction for the Mahdi Army to be military and at the same time be educational and humanitarian," al-Sadr said in a leaflet handed out at his offices in the Shiite holy city of Najaf. Violence around Iraq has dropped by about 60 percent in the past nine months, mostly because of Al-Sadr's cease-fire, an influx of thousands of U.S. troops and a decision by tens of thousands of Sunnis to join forces with the United States. By Patrick Quinn, Associated Press writer.

A year ago, everyday, the Iraq war was in the news and the only news was how many U.S soldiers were dying. We were losing the war in Iraq at least that's what the Democrats were saying. Shuler and most Democrats voted for troop pullout of Iraq by December 15, 2008. The bill states that the primary purpose of the money, used to support our troops, "should be to transition the mission of United States Armed Forces in Iraq and undertake their redeployment." Where the Democrats wrong?

There is still soldiers dying in Iraq. Where is the news media? Have they given up on Iraq? They used this tool to get the Democrats back in the majority. So they don't need to use this anymore. Well maybe I am wrong. I think the Democrats used the news media as a tool. The Democrats said it was a civil war and all of the news media reported it. The Democrats said we were losing the war and all the news media reported it. Looks like the news media has just become a puppet of the Democrats.

With strong overseas economies, private jet orders soaring.

The U.S. economy may be coming in for a landing, but the demand for private jets is still flying high. The bustling economies of China and India, and newfound oil wealth in countries such as Russia, have helped keep sales of small executive jets strong. Despite the weakening of corporate profits in the United States, North America plane makers are reporting record orders, many from overseas. "There is a lot of demand worldwide," said Raymond Jaworowski, an aerospace analyst with the market research firm Forecast International in Newtown, Conn. "If the U.S. economy does soften and even if we go into a recession, the effects will be insulated somewhat by the growing economies outside the United States." The overall demand for jets is expected to remain strong in the coming years, said Jaworowski, who forecast nearly 15,000 business jets, worth a total of $192 billion, will be sold in the next decade industry wide. By Stephen Manning, AP business writer.

Somebody needs to tell Al Gore what is happening here. Our planet will face insurmountable consequences if we don't reduce our carbon foot print. Oh thats right, Al Gore owns one of those private jets. That is how he travels to preach the global warming gospel. In fact many of todays preachers own private jets to spread the gospel of Christ. Oh yes the Pope said Thou shall not pollute the earth. More on that later,

We are told to drive less, buy hybrid cars and get rid of our safe big gas guzzling cars. What type of light bulbs we must use in our homes and buy product that use recycle material. We are told how we should live our lives while the rest of the world is ordering 15,000 private jets. Compare your little carbon foot print with one of those private jets. I read an article where the green people want to push bicycles in all major cities to reduce carbon emissions and reduce traffic. I can see it now. Here I am, a 55 year old man riding my bike to work when a private jet passes over head.

Actual Gulf of Mexico rig count is down from last year.

Rising crude oil prices are bolstering Gulf of Mexico drilling activity, even though a key indicator says otherwise. This week crude closed above $105 a barrel for the first time, capping a months-long stretch in which oil prices have marched steadily higher. Louisiana energy companies say the up tick in prices leaves them with more cash on hand and more of an incentive to drill. Though industry leaders say oil prices have stoked interest in Gulf drilling, the number of rigs actively working in the Gulf has actually declined in the past year. As of Friday, 60 rigs were working in the Gulf, down from 87 one year ago. "There are a number of things people have suggested" as causes for the decline, Shiels said. New regulations implemented by the U.S. Minerals Management Services after the 2005 hurricane season might have discouraged some activity in the Gulf. And the rig count tends to more closely track natural gas exploration as opposed to oil. In addition, certain rigs are leaving the Gulf of Mexico for foreign markets where they command higher rents, he said. By Kimberly Quillen. T.P. Business writer.

In one year we lost a third of our oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico. Where did they go? Well certain rigs left for foreign markets. They left for other countries where the governments don't try and tell them how to run their businesses and try to take their profits. Hillary Clinton said she will take their profits if she is president so now the oil companies, which are now global, are moving to greener pastures.

The green people are happy.
They think they are saving the earth by stopping the drilling in the U.S. What they don't understand is that they might slow it down here and hurt our economy, but it is going strong through the rest of the world. Just ask the Chinese how many Americans are over there helping them drill for oil. There are countries begging for our expertise and our rigs so they can go and drill oil for themselves. The green people will not stop them.

Just a note. Oil is what makes the world go round. If you stop the flow of oil in the U.S. you will stop the U.S. economy. If you stop the flow of blood in your body, you die.

Is John McCain a Natural-born citizen.

Republican presidential hopeful John McCain said Thursday the question of whether he can run for president, despite being born in the Panama Canal Zone, was put to rest 44 years ago in Barry Goldwater's run for the White House. The constitution says only a "natural-born citizen" may serve as president. McCain's campaign asked former Solicitor General Ted Olson for a legal interpretation of the issue. McCain himself insists the issue was put to rest when his fellow Arizonan, Barry Goldwater, ran for president in 1964. "Barry Goldwater was born in Arizona when it was a territory, and it went all the way to the Supreme Court," McCain told reporters Thursday. By Libby Quald, Associated Press writer.

Why did McCain campaign ask for a legal interpretation? Was not this issue solved in 1964 and then again 2000 when McCain was running last time? I wonder if this was going to be an October surprise? My next question is how did the media find out about what the McCain campaign was doing? I sure don't think they told them or did they? Maybe they did leak it out, so they can put an end to this now before the Democrats tried to use it against him in October. The media took it and ran with it.

Cold winter, Climate change talk heating up.

The world has seen some extraordinary winter conditions in both hemispheres over the past year, snow in Johannesburg last June and in Baghdad in January. Arctic sea ice returning with a vengeance after a record retreat last summer, paralyzing blizzards in China, and a sharp drop in the globe's average temperature. It is no wonder that some scientist, opinion writers, political operatives and other people who challenge warnings about dangerous human-caused global warming have jumped on this as a teachable moment. So what is happening? According to many climate experts, including some who question the extent and risks of global warming, , it is mostly good old-fashioned weather, along with a cold kick from the tropical Pacific Ocean, which is in its La Nina phase for a few more months, a year after it was in the opposite, warm, El Nino pattern. Some scientists who strongly disagree with each other on the extent of warming coming in this century, and what to do about it, agreed that it was important not to be tempted to over- interpret short-term swings in climate, either hot or cold. By Andrew C. Revkin, 2008, The New York Times.

Did you know that there are scientists who strongly disagree with the extent of global warming? Maybe its time to use this record breaking winter to expose the silly warming alarmist that the news media and some scientists have been ceaselessly promoting for decades. But both sides agreed not to be tempted to over-interpret climate swings. Who has been over interpreting the climate swing. It's been the global warming crowd.

The global warming crowd has been using scare tactics to get people to alter their way of life. Movies have been made, to frighten people, that if we don't change the way we live the earth will die in 10 years. Making people to give their hard earn money, to the government, so they can tell us how to live our lives according to their beliefs on how to save the earth. Making laws to hinder the growth and prosperity of our nation and us.

Publish the truth, not what you believe in. Publish what other scientist believe in, not just the global warming scientist believe in. We as Americans should be able to see both side of the argument. The problem is that they don't trust us to make the right dissension. Because we must believe only like them and if you don't your wrong. It's time we start pushing back. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free.

Mexicans want used U.S. gas guzzlers to drive.

While some Americans are congratulating themselves on switching to fuel-sipping cars, their old gas guzzlers just won't die. U.S. trade policy is giving them new life south of the border. Thousands of used vehicles from as far away as Colorado and Missouri jam tiny car lots and auto salvage yards in Ciudad Juarez, a gritty border city. An estimated 25,000 families make a living hustling U.S. castoffs. Among them is Jose Zavala, a used car dealer with a trucker's cap and an eye for bargains. "If it's cheap and it runs," it will find a home in Mexico, Zavala said. That's precisely what's worrying environmentalists and new car dealers, who say falling trade barriers are fueling an invasion of smoky junkers. More than 3 million late model vehicles have rumbled legally south of the border in the past 2 1/2 years. Millions more are on the way, thanks to the North American Free Trade Agreement(NAFTA). By Maria Dickerson, Los Angeles Times.

This should be a great story. People in Mexico who can't afford a new car can now drive an older U.S. car that no one here wants. And that 25,000 families in Mexico are making a living selling these cars. We do good works in the U.S. by donating our old use cars to charity so they can sell them to help families in need. To help the homeless and ex drug addicts.

But air quality experts are fuming. The used imports are supposed to meet smog and safety standards, but Mexico has yet to put a comprehensive testing system in place. Why are the environmentalists so upset with the people in Mexico? Because they don't care about people and the needs of people. All they care about is the environment. The golden rule: Do on to other as you would have them do onto you. The environmentalist green rule: Do on to the earth as you do less on to others.

Environmentalist don't care for people in fact they have team up with politicians to control our lives. They tell us which cars we can or can't drive. They tell us what type of fuels we will burn in our cars. Where we can or can't smoke. What we can or can't eat. What types of light bulbs we will use in our homes and what type of toilet you have in your bathroom. And they are not going to stop there.

They also don't care about industry. Environmentalist want to tell the oil companies where they can drill for oil. How the auto industry must make their cars and get involved in a large list of most U.S.manufacturing companies even if these companies lose money or go out of business and people lose their jobs. Some Environmentalists even think the earth would be better off with no humans on it at all.

I believe the earth was created millions of years ago. And the earth went through many stages through its history. The environment out lasted the dinosaurs and many species of them. Many species of insects and if you believe, many species of humans. So I don't believe it when Al Gore says we only have 10 years left. I guess we got so smart in the last 100 years that we can now destroy the earth by just living out lives.

Do you want a better life for you, your children and grand children. People come first and as we grow in knowledge and science we will control how we live with the environment. Limiting how we live and controlling our carbon foot print will not help because our population will double in the next 30 to 50 years. So we must limit the growth of people or increase our knowledge and science to increase our positive effect on nature. Let's not hinder growth, let's increase it.
