Iran Boosting Aid to Iraqi Militias to Kill U.S. Soldiers.

The Associated Press: US official: Iran boosting support for Iraqi insurgents

Iran is ratcheting up its support for militias in Iraq, providing them with newly manufactured weapons and bring them across the border to receive training from members of Tehran's elite Republican Guard, U.S. military officials said Friday.

Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the military is preparing to roll out evidence, such as date stamps on newly found weapons caches, that shows that recently made Iranian weapons are flowing into Iraq at a steadily increasing rate.

Mullen would not detail the evidence, which is expected to be unveiled by military leaders in Iraq as early as next week. But another senior military official said it will include mortars, rockets, small arms, roadside bombs and armor piercing explosives, known as explosively formed penetrators or EFP's, That troop have discovered in caches in recent months.

Radical Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, believed to be in Iran, called for an end to Iraqi bloodshed on Friday and said his threat of an "open war" applies only to U.S. led foreign troops, U.S. soldiers. Mahdi Army commanders, who said they have recently taken delivery of new Iranian weapons, expressed disappointment that the cleric had not given them a green light for an offensive.

When are we going to do something to Iran to stop the flow of weapons into Iraq that is killing our soldiers. Iam not saying an all out war but something like the Israelis did in Syria. Let's say a warning shot. Right now it seems we are worried more of what the world thinks of us than saving U.S. lives.

Now Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has promised to give the West a "bloody nose" and "smash in on the mouth." Tehran plans to expand the number of new cascades of centrifuges, some of the advanced IR-2 design, to 54,000. This is an expensive and unnecessary effort in a country so rich with natural gas that it flares a good part of it. These Iranian gas flares contribute to global warming, and literally burning tens of millions of dollars a year, and are so large they can even seen from satellites in space.

Now is this enrich uranium fuel will be used to produce electricity or enriched to produce nuclear weapons explosives when they have so much natural gas? When you tell someone that a nuclear bomb will fit into a suitcase or in the back of a van, they don't believe you. They think that you watch too many James Bond movies. But there are people who want to hurt the U.S. and will die for that cause. These people , all they need is someone to give them this suitcase or the keys to the van.

President Jimmy Carter's Hamas Good Neighbor Plan.

Carter says Hamas willing to be Israel's neighbor - Yahoo! News

Former President Carter said Monday that the Islamic group Hamas was willing to accept the Jewish state as a "neighbor next door," but the militants did not match their upbeat words with concrete steps to halt violence.

Hamas, which advocates Israel's destruction, instead recycled previous offers, including a 10 year truce if Israel takes the unlikely step of withdrawing from the West Bank and Jerusalem first.

Hamas has repeated confounded obsevers with its conflicting messages. Actions on the ground: seven ropckets were fired on Israel from ruled Gaza Monday, including one that wounded a 4 year old boy, contradicted the Islamic militant group's positive words about coexistence and truce.

And a leader of the Hamas military wing, which carried out a twin suicide bombing on the Gaza border Saturday. said his group would step up attacks against Israel in coming days.

The United States considers the Palestinian group Hamas a terrorist organization. They hate Israel and their main objective is to drive Israel from the middle east by killing women and children with suicide bombers. Rice and the State Department urged Carter not to travel to the region and not to meet with Hamas but he did because Bush is not his President.

What did President Jimmy Carter achieve in his recent, controversial talks with leaders of Hamas and Syria? Not a thing. Seven rockets were fired on Israel from Hamas ruled Gaza Monday, including one that wounded a 4 year old boy contradicting the Islamic militant group's positive words about coexistence and a truce. "I did the best I could," Carter said of his conversation with Hamas supreme leader.

Israel wants peace, that is the reason they gave the Palestinians the Gaza Strip, for self government. On September 12th 2005 Palestinians celebrated in the abandoned Jewish settlements of the Gaza Strip following 38 years of occupation. Thousands of Palestinians rushed into the area that used to be the Jewish settlements in Gaza, and burned at least four synagogues. Now they want Israel to give more.

Ever since Israel withdrew its troops from Gaza in 2005, Hamas has used Gaza as a launching pad for its campaign of genocide against Israel and its citizens. Hamas has been firing rockets, about 2,000, so far, from Gaza into Israel, especially on the town of Sderot, with the objective of killing as many Jewish civilians as possible. It has done so from within civilian areas using them as human shields.

It is time for former President Jimmy Carter to go back into retirement and allow who is the President at the time, to make the decisions on foreign policy. Jimmy Carter, by trying to make President Bush look bad, make himself look like a fool again.

Bloody Weekend: 32 shot, 2 Stabbed, 6 Dead, Streets of Bagdad? No Chicago.

cbs2chicago.com - Bloody Weekend: 32 Shot, 2 Stabbed, 6 Dead

A violent and deadly weekend continues in Chicago. At least 12 people have been shot, two of them killed, since Saturday morning. Two others were stabbed in a home invasion. This comes after at least 20 people were shot, four of them killed, from Friday night through early Saturday.

A 28 year old man was shot and killed at an auto body repair shop on the Southwest Side Saturday morning. Raul Lemus was shot in the stomach and died several hours later at Stroger Hospital, making him the sixth person killed in Chicago since Friday night. Police said the shooting appeared to be gang related. Also Saturday morning, Michael Giles, 26, was shot and killed inside his home...Also, Friday night two teens were gunned down in front of a church in the 7500 block of South Phillips.

This was from Friday night to Saturday morning, a 17 hour period. We can say half a weekend. On Monday night the Associated Press had the finial report for the whole weekend. 36 shootings and nine deaths over the weekend. Fact: More of our young people died in the streets of Chicago than in the the streets of Bagdad this weekend. How can we solve this problem and stop our young people from killing each other? We just can't bring them home. Their being killed in their homes.

Governor Rod Blagojevich says this weekend's violence in Chicago is yet another reason for state lawmakers to enact new gun controls. But trying to keep gun out of gang member hands with a law is like trying to keep drugs out of their hands with a law, it does not work. They will get the drugs and the guns no matter how many laws the Governor passes. Passing laws will not solve this problem.

The organization Cease Fire, says there probably would have been far fewer shootings this weekend had the group had more of its outreach and violence interrupters on the street. DR. Gary Slukin says about 40 outreach and violence interrupter workers on the street are "not even enough to make a dent." Can you imagine if this group went and tried to talk to the mob gangs of the 20's and 30's? How effective would they have been? The same as today. Not even a dent.

Police Superintendent Jody Weis said Saturday "Too many guns, too many gangs." The Illinois Governor said we need tighter gun control but there is 102 counties in the state of Illinois, all have guns, not all have gangs. The killings are not happening where the guns are but where the gangs are. So we don't need to solve the gun problem, we need to solve the gang problem.

But that will not happen. That is one of the reasons the Governor talked about the guns and not the gangs. You see, if most of the killings in Chicago is like New Orleans, it is black on black crimes. In order to break up the gangs the police, white and black, will have to stop black youth on the streets of Chicago, find out what they are doing and what is going down. They will have to bring some to central lockup just to question them and constantly follow the gang leaders around.

When this happens the leaders in the black community will shout racial profiling. The ACLU will sue the city of Chicago for their actions and policies. And the Rev. Jesse Jackson and Rev. Al Sharpton will lead the city marches.

In order to stop gang violence in Chicago, and other major U.S. cities, is to deal with the gangs as the FBI did with the mob gangs of the 20's and 30's.
It is sad, this will never happen and more of our black youth will die in the streets of Chicago.

Risk of a Nuclear Attack on U.S. Soil on Rise.

Risk of Nuclear Attack on Rise - washingtonpost.com

A hearing, called by the Committee on Homeland Security and Government Affairs, featured charts showing the horrific effects of a small nuclear device detonating near the White House. It was the panel's third session in recent months on the threat of a nuclear explosion.

"The scenarios we discuss today are so hard for us to contemplate and so emotionally traumatic that it is tempting to push them aside," said Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (I-Conn), the panel's chairman. "However now is the time to have this difficult conversation, to ask the tough questions, then to get answers."

The committee summoned witnesses yesterday who said the risk of such an attack on U.S. cities has grown in the past five years because of the spread of nuclear technology and the growth of a global terrorist movement.

At the committee's request, Cham E. Dallas, University of Georgia, prepared a report on the effects of a small nucleart device exploding near the White House. A 1-kiloton device, which could fit into a suitcase, could kill about 25,000 people, he said. A 10-kiloton explosive, which could be hidden in a van, could kill about 100,000, Dallas said.

When most people think of a nuclear attack, they think of a missile being fired in the air toward the United States. Because of this image they don't believe it is possible for the United States to be attacked. Why? Because the wrath of the power of the U.S. military would be unleashed on the nation that attacked us.

When you tell someone that a nuclear bomb will fit into a suitcase or in the back of a van, they don't believe you. They think that you watch too many James Bond movies. But there are people who want to hurt the U.S. and will die for that cause. These people, all they need is someone to give them this suitcase or the keys to the van. So we know that there are people who will carry this out. Who will supply the bomb?

Iran has begun installing 6,000 new centrifuges at its uranium enrichment plant in Natanz. Iran last year installed 3,000 centrifuges and entered the stage of enrichment. They will never fire a missile at us even if they could. But would they give someone a suitcase with a nuclear bomb? And do you think that suitcase could make it into the United States? Are they not giving bombs to the terrorist in Iraq and killing U.S. soldiers?

If you read the article, it doesn't tell us how we will stop the attack. What it does tell us, is what we must do to be prepared after an attack. How to keep the deaths down after a suite case nuclear bomb kills 25,000 citizens or to be prepared when a van bomb kills 100,000 citizens. Maybe we should bring our troops home and stick our heads in the sand.

Dalai Lama Supports Olympics, Democrats Wrong Again.

Dalai Lama Shows Support for Games - New York Times

The Dalai Lama said Thursday that he supported Beijing's hosting of the Summer Olympics, but he insisted that pro-Tibet demonstrators had the right to voice their opinions during the international torch relay as long as they refrained from violence. During a brief stopover in Japan on his way to the United States, the Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan spiritual leader, told reporters no one should try to silence demonstrators who are protesting Chinese rule in Tibet. But he struck a conciliatory tone toward Beijing , apparently distancing himself from calls in the West for a boycott of the Olympic opening ceremony. "We are not anti-Chinese," he said at a news conference at Tokyo's main international airport in Narita. "Right from the beginning, we supported the Olympic Games." Speaking of pro-Tibetan protesters, he said nobody "has the right to tell them to shut up."

The Dalai Lama apparently distancing himself from the, Democrats, calls in the West for a boycott of the Olympic opening ceremony as Nancy Pelosi urges Bush not to attend the Olympics opening ceremony. Do you think Nancy Pelosi was being used when she visited the Dalai Lama in India? -In front of a horde of television news cameras- Mrs. Pelosi and her husband, Paul, descended the stairs of the main temple here to enormous applause, the 72-year-old Buddhist monk sandwiched between them, holding both their hands.- Ms. Pelosi, accompanied by nine members of Congress, most of them Democrats, was being used by the Dalai Lama to further his cause.

Now U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton urged President George W. Bush to boycott the Beijing opening ceremonies. Her and President Bill Clinton were not boycotting the cash that the Chinese were pouring into Bill's re-election campaign.
The Chinese and the Clintons were good friends but now they must improve their human rights. They didn't worried about human rights, when they were taking their money.

Barack Obama has joined Democratic presidential rival Hillary Rodhan Clinton in calling for President Bush to boycott the opening ceremonies for the Olympic Games in Beijing. Obama said "If the Chinese do not take steps to help stop the genocide in Darfur.." What has the United Nations or the other Western countries done to help stop this genocide, very little. Obama also said that we must "engage the Dalai Lama in meaningful talks about the future of Tibet." Do you think that Obama knows that the Dalai Lama has not been in Tibet in almost 50 years. And that you can talk to him until your blue in the face and nothing will change. But I guess he'll feel good talking about change.

Do you think that the Dalai Lama knew that the eyes of the world was going to be focused on China during these summer Olympics? That this would be a great time to further his cause by getting the Tibet monks to riot in the streets of Tibet and make China to look like the evil empire? And that now he is on his world wide tour to promote his agenda? Personally I think this is a good move on his part but a bad move by the Democrats.

U N Children's Book Promotes Global Warming Fears to Kids.

U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works

The book is about a young boy named Tore who lives in an Arctic village. Tore loses a dog sled race because he crashes through the thinning ice allegedly caused by man made greenhouse gas emissions. The book features colorful drawings and large text to appeal to young children. After the boy loses the dog sled race, he is visited by "Sedna, the Mother of the Sea."in a dream. The 'Sea Mother" Goddess informs Tore in blunt terms that the thinning ice that caused his loss in the dog sled race was due to man made global warming. "I'm the one who created and cares for the sea creatures, whales and walruses, seals and fish," the "Sea Mother" explains to Tore. The "Sea Mother" then tells the boy she will educate him about the reason the ice is thinning.

The "Snowy owl" tells Tore that winning dog sledding races "might not be your top worry" and the owl instead tells the boy the "lots of things are changing fast. Some people who hunt for a living are already going hungry because a lot of seals and walruses are heading north." Next, a polar bear informs Tore that it is hungry because the ice is too thin to stand on and hunt and the bear says that other bears have "starved" because the ice went out to sea. The Polar bear adds, "We may not have much of a future." The polar bear concludes by telling Tore, "It looks like many animals and fish and birds will go extinct-die out-during your lifetime, partly because of changes in climate." The whale appears to present more climate fear, the boy finally screams , "Listen, I've had all the bad news I can stand. Our world is melting. Polar bears are starving and all sorts of animals won't survive. I don't want to hear anymore"

The "Sea Mother" tells him of the dangerous effects that an oil and gas based energy system has on the climate, and the "Sea Mother" singles out the industrialized world as the cause of her climate catastrophe. "Rich countries use and waste an awful lot of energy. Huge cars. Too many cars instead of efficient trains and buses." the Sea Mother explains to Tore.

Can you believe this? No matter which side you are on, you don't bring children into the discussion of global warming. They don't and can not understand what global warming is. All you are doing is planting fear and they will give up on the future. In their little minds they can't see what they can do, so they cry. Adults are suppose to keep them safe so they can dream of becoming great in life.

You need to click on the link and read this report. It will show you the short comings of this story and the lies it is pushing. This is not a one sided issue, many renowned scientist defected from the belief in global warming. All the U N is doing is sowing fear in the minds of children and destroying their future.

New Lights For the Capitol, Rip Off !!

Beacon or Boondoggle? New Lights For the Capitol - washingtonpost.com
The warm white glow of the Capitol dome may soon go green, part of an effort by Democratic congressional leaders to save energy and modernize the District's nocturnal landscape. But like so many issues on Capitol Hill, the plan to update the building's 18-year-old exterior lighting has ignited partisan bickering. Republicans and other critics consider the project's early phase wasteful, and they question whether a $671,900 contract to design the lighting system was steered by Rep. Robert A. Brady (D-Pa.). chairman of the House Administration Committee, to a company in his home district. The Capitol which last got new lights in 1990, is next in line. It's system consists of 38 1,000-watt metal halide lamps mounted on rooftops over the House and Senate wings. The lamps burn for about eight hours a night and consume more than 122,000 kilowatt-hours of power each year. The annual electric bill is nearly $15,000. Converting to a more eco-friendly system has turned out to be expensive and the work has just begun. Beard's office rejected two lower bids to recommend awarding the design contract to the Lighting Practice of Philadelphia, located in Brady's district. The contract cover no installation cost. Officials do not yet have an estimate for the cost of the project. By Christopher Lee, Washington Post Staff Writer

Can you believe this? We are paying Lighting Practice of Philadelphia $671,900 to design 36 light fixtures. That's $17,681.16 per light fixture. Now this does not include any equipment. It is just for the design. The web site for The Lighting Practice states "The Lighting Practice was establish in 1989 to provide specialized design service in the application of lighting for Architecture." Right now there is 38 1,000 watt halide lamps mounted on rooftops. Why don't we just hire a light manufacture company to replace them with energy efficient lamps?

Now the Democrats say this system is old. It is only 18 years old and this is an antique historical building, are the lights suppose to look new? This project is part of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's environmentally friendly "Green the Capitol" initiative but we are going to burn more carbon taking down the old system and installing a new system than what we will save by the eco-friendly system. It will take more than 45 years to recoup money spent on the system's design if consumption was zero. this does not include the cost of fixtures or the labor.

Who would pay someone $671.900 to just design something without having some idea of a cost for the project or a budget? Two bids were lower but rejected because they did not provide enough information to assess their financial health. So just ask for more. This just looks like a pay off by Rep. Robert A. Brady to the Lighting Practice. I wonder how much they gave to his campaign? When Nancy Pelosi became House Speaker she said this is a new day and that we were going to have a cleaner, up front congress. This looks like politics as usual.
