A Thousand people Protest Obama Stimulus Plan in 35 degree St. Louis Weather.

02/28/2009 - St. Louis riverfront draws rally against Obama stimulus plan - STLtoday.com

Critics of President Barack Obama's stimulus plan gathered beneath the Arch Friday to cheer speeches over a bullhorn and toss tea into the Mississippi River.

A few conservative activists organized and promoted the rally, with help from talk-radio hosts. Pleased with the turnout in 35-degree bluster, leaders said they had stolen a page from liberal tradition by taking to the streets with home made signs.

"If I had known this many people would show up, I'd have charged admission," said Bill Hennessy of Ballwin, the lead organizer. "We'll do this every chance we get until Congress repeals the pork — or we retire them from public life."

Hennessy estimated that more than 1,000 people showed up.

People rally against Obama stimulus plan.

Jackie Smith, former tight end for the old St. Louis football Cardinals, said, "We are mad as hell and we need to stay mad as hell. Don't let up."

Jackie your not alone. President Barack Obama’s approval rating has dipped  since the
start of his term, and the percentage of those who disapprove of his performance has doubled, according to a Gallup Poll released Monday Feb. 23rd. With less than 35 days in office. he president’s disapproval rating jumped from 12 percent to 24 percent over the same period, “mainly because rank-and-file Republicans.

Now that was the 23rd of Feb. what about today? Twenty-nine percent (29%) now Strongly Disapprove to give Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of +10 (see trends). The number who Strongly Disapprove grew from the low-20s early in February to the high-20s later in the month. The number of Republicans in the country increased a bit during February.

How are these polls conducted and who do they poll? Currently, the baseline targets for the adult population are 41.1% Democrats, 33.0% Republicans, and 25.9% unaffiliated. Likely voter samples typically show a slightly smaller advantage for the Democrats. So those who don't vote support Democrats.

Now the news media wants to show us the high approval rating of President Barack Obama. But when you poll 41.1 percent Democrats no wonder his approval rating is high. But what we need to keep an eye on is his strongly disapproval numbers. Only 45 days in office his strongly disapproval went from 12 percent to 29 percent. This must be told, a 150 percent increase in his disapproval.

US President Barack Obama vowed Saturday to fight for his budget proposals. The audacious 3.55-trillion-dollar budget proposal that Obama rolled out Thursday bristles with economic reforms and spending on healthcare, climate change and education.

We as conservative can slow down this drunken spending train. Together our voices as one will be heard.
