Barack Obama Lied, Voted No to Born Alive Act

Michael Gerson - Obama's Abortion Extremism - washingtonpost.com

Obama's record on abortion is extreme. He opposed the ban on partial-birth abortion -- a practice a fellow Democrat, the late Daniel Patrick Moynihan, once called "too close to infanticide." Obama strongly criticized the Supreme Court decision upholding the partial-birth ban. In the Illinois state Senate, he opposed a bill similar to the Born-Alive Infants Protection Act, which prevents the killing of infants mistakenly left alive by abortion. And now Obama has oddly claimed that he would not want his daughters to be "punished with a baby" because of a crisis pregnancy -- hardly a welcoming attitude toward new life.

CNN: Barack Obama's opposition to Born Alive Act

As I watched the campaign for president of the United States, I wondered why this time no Democrat was talking about Senator John McCain's pro-life position. Every time a new Supreme Court Justice is selected, the very first thing that the democrats bring up is his pro-life position. They want to know how the new Justice will vote when it comes to Roe vs Wade. But they have been quite on McCain's position and now we know why.

When Senator Barack Obama was asked about his no vote on the Born Alive Infant Protection Act, this was his responce.

The presumptive Democratic nominee responded sharply in an interview Saturday night with the Christian Broadcast Network, saying anti-abortion groups were "lying" about his record.

"They have not been telling the truth," Mr. Obama said. "And I hate to say that people are lying, but here's a situation where folks are lying."

The person who is lying, is Barack Obama. Caught between a rock and a hard place, rather than tell the truth and take it like a man. Obama cowred and lied. Didn't Obama know, that people could look at the records and see who was really lying?

His campaign yesterday acknowledged that he had voted against an identical bill in the state Senate because it could have undermined existing Illinois abortion law. But Douglas Johnson, director of the National Right to Life Committee, said the version Mr. Obama voted down clearly applied only to fetuses that emerged from the womb alive.

What does this mean, fetuses that emerge from the womb alive?

During the abortion procedure, the last thing they do is induce labor to expel the fetus and what remains.
The fetus sometimes can survive if the abortion doctor doesn't do a good job on killing the fetus first.
Than after labor, if the fetus is alive, which becomes a baby, Obama wants to let it die from neglect.
