Political Radar: Florida Congressman: Palin 'Don't Care Too Much What They Do With Jews and Blacks'

"If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention," said Hastings. "Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through."

Hastings, who is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus, made his comments in Washington, D.C., while participating in a panel discussion sponsored by the National Jewish Democratic Council.

What did Hastings mean by this statement? Hastings spokesman David Goldenberg told ABC News that he was trying to argue that Palin is an "extremely conservative woman who is out of touch with mainstream America."

When people panic, they will always say something stupid. Rep. Alcee Hastings did apologize. He said,"I regret the comments I made last Tuesday that were not smart and certainly not relevant to hunters or sportsmen," Took him a week but thats OK.

When you think of hunting, you think guns and men. But the firearms industry directed its first major ads at women in the 1880's The early ads featured females alone in the forest. What can you say about a women and a rifle? First they are not afraid to pick it up and look through it's site. Not afraid to point it at a moose, squeeze the trigger and shoot a big Bambi in the heart.

Maybe this is what Alice Hastings was talking about, a woman who can control her emotions and shoot Bambi. Then take out her knife and gut poor Bambi. Mr Hastings must be like a lot of men and believe that women are too emotional to be Vice President or President. I'm glad that God made women emotional, but they can control that emotion.

Not only are there women in the arm service that use a rifle, they will shoot you and Bambi if they had to. Plus there are a lot of women in our medical hospitals that would stick you with a needle or shove an IV in your arm. And if you turn over Mr Hastings they will stick a tube up your ass. Gutting? They will clean up your vomit and clean your ass when you shit on yourself. Most things a man would not do.

Emotional yes! But a mother or grand mother will do what every it takes to protect their nest. My pastor's wife always carried a gun in her purse. It was next to the lipstick. She never used it and went on to see her maker. In 1990 12 million women own guns. Surprised? I was.

Mr Hastings and the Black Caucus should not be afraid of strong women, they are all around us. Sarah Palin will make a good Vice President.

Does Barack Obama lead McCain in the Polls?

Economic Fears Give Obama Clear Lead Over McCain in Poll - washingtonpost.com

Turmoil in the financial industry and growing pessimism about the economy have altered the shape of the presidential race, giving Democratic nominee Barack Obama the first clear lead of the general-election campaign over Republican John McCain, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News national poll.

As a point of comparison, neither of the last two Democratic nominees -- John F. Kerry in 2004 or Al Gore in 2000 -- recorded support above 50 percent in a pre-election poll by the Post and ABC News.

Weekly Polls

According to the latest Washington Post-ABC News national poll, Barack Obama is leading John McCain by a large margin. I don't believe it. As we get closer the the election, some people who want Obama to win, will play with the polls. So let us take a very close look at this poll together.

First this is a randon telephone poll, so the survey, conducted Friday through Monday, included telephone interviews with a random national sample of 1,082 adults, including 916 registered voters. 916 of those called where registered voters and 166 where not registered at all. What good is their opinion? They will not vote Nov 4th, they can't.

Can you believe that 21 percent in this poll can't vote? Another question that was asked "What party are you leaning toward Democrat or Republican?

The poll over sample the African American vote, for a total of 201 black respondents. The RV is the revised poll when the black count was lowered to the population ratio. In the first sample the Democrats out numbered the Republicans by 16 points, In the revised the Democrats out numbered the Republicans by 11 points.

Now let us look at the ideology of those polled. Would you say your views on most political matters are liberal, moderate, or conservative?

8/22/08 Liberal 23 percent, Moderate 42 percent, Conservative 33 percent.

The poor conservative, Republicans is only 33 percent.

Now last party identification. Gererally speaking, do you usually think of yourself as.

8/22/08 Democrat 36 percent Republican 26 percent Independent 33 percent. Other 5 percent.

In this poll Democrats way out numbered Republicans. Now does the Washington Post have an agenda? Just take a look at the other pollsters who took polls that weekend. You will see that the Washington Post is try to sway public opinion and get their guy, Barack Obama elected.

Barack Obama & Bill Ayers, Together 5 years

Obama and Ayers Pushed Radicalism On Schools - WSJ.com

Despite having authored two autobiographies, Barack Obama has never written about his most important executive experience. From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists.

The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s. Among other feats, Mr. Ayers and his cohorts bombed the Pentagon, and he has never expressed regret for his actions. Barack Obama's first run for the Illinois State Senate was launched at a 1995 gathering at Mr. Ayers's home.

The Men who are behind Barack Obama.

Here are the words of Barack Obama. Mr. Ayers is just "a guy who lives in my neighborhood," and "not somebody who I exchange ideas with on a regular basis." But the Daley archives show that Mr. Obama and Mr. Ayers worked as a team to advance the CAC agenda. So Barack Obama doesn't want us to know about his friend Mr. Ayers. He doesn't mention him in his two autobiographies.

Why they spent 6 years together? Because they believe the same thing and have a common believe to accomplish those goals. The Chicago Annenburg Challenge was not only the brainchild of Bill Ayers, it was his baby. He needed someone who he could trust. Do you think if he didn't know Barack Obama he would have trusted him with $49.2 million? So a Board of Directors initially recruited by the Collaborative, which was chaired from 1995 to 2000 by Barack Obama, at the time a practicing attorney. And this was not important for Obama to mention in his books.

Both Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, hosted a small campaign meeting for Obama at their home in 1995.  Hillary Rodham Clinton in February 2008,brought this up and during a debate between Clinton and Obama in April 2008. Now  the Republicans have brought this up and here is Obama answer. Mr. Ayers who engaged in detestable acts 40 years ago, when I was 8 years old, somehow reflects on me and my values doesn't make much sense.”

Oh yes it does Barry. The reason the both of you hung together for five years is because you both have the same values. The reason you will denounce Rev. Wright and not Mr Ayers is because you both have the same values. If you know Barack Obama friends. then you will know who Obama is. Rememder friends of a feather, flock together.

McCain Gaining ground in Michigan over Obama, 11 Percent Undecided.

A new CNN poll of polls in Michigan, compiled Saturday, suggests Senator Barack Obama has a five point lead over Senator John McCain, 47 percent to 42 percent, with 11 percent of voters undecided.
Seventeen electoral votes are up for grabs in Michigan.
It seems the current financial crisis from Wall Street to Main Street will be a major factor in Michigan.

In the last four presidential election Michigan voted for a Democratic candidate. The last time President Bush lost the state to John Kerry by just three points. Now a month and a half before the election Baack Obama is up by five points. But you must look at in this poll is the undecideds which is at 11 percent. This is a high percentage being so close to the election.

First polls are fun to watch but it doesn't give you a clear picture of what is happening. For example let's look at the UPDATE: The release of new ARG numbers this afternoon has tightened up the Michigan average by one point. Obama now leads McCain in the Michigan poll of polls by 4 points (47 to 43 percent). This morning's
Michigan poll of polls showed Obama leading McCain by 5 points (47 to 42 percent). In lest than six hours the polls change by one percent in McCain's favor. Obama percentage stayed at 47 percent but McCain went up to 43 percent.

On August 22, 2008 a new poll out today from the Detroit Free Press shows Obama ahead over McCain in Michigan, 46-39 with 12 percent of voters undecided. Now in one month, Barack Obama went from 46 to 47 percent. John McCain in one month, went from 39 to 43 percent. So if you want to play with the numbers, McCain is doing better in Michigan than Obama with 11 percent still undecided.

With just six weeks until Election day let's look at the battle ground states. Florida, John McCain 47 to 46, seven percent undecided. Barack Obama has spent $8 million on ads and John McCain just started last weeks with ads. Ohio, John McCain 47 to 46, seven percent undecided. Ohio voters say McCain is more qualified to be president and would likely use good judgment. Missouri, John McCain 49 to 45, six percent undecided. McCain is supported by 92% of Missouri Republicans and enjoys a 16-percentage-point lead among unaffiliated voters.

As you can see we can all play with the poll numbers. Right the cards are in John McCain favor in the swing states.
