President Obama fires Walpin AmeriCorps Official for doing his job.

Former AmeriCorps Official Says Obama Removed Him for 'Doing My Job' - Political News - FOXNews.com

An official responsible for monitoring how federal funds for volunteerism are spent told FOX News he was fired by President Obama for doing his job, and suggested it was payback for investigating the alleged misuse of grant money by the Sacramento mayor, an Obama backer.

Gerald Walpin, who until last week was the chief internal watchdog for AmericCorps and other service programs, suggested "political pressure" was behind his ouster. He said he worried the action will have a "chilling effect" on other inspectors general.
Obama gave little explanation for the decision, writing in a letter sent Thursday that he no longer had the "fullest confidence" in Walpin.

Gerald Walpin AmericCorps official.

Walpin learned his fate while driving to an event in upstate New York when he received a call from Norman Eisen, the Special Counsel to the President for Ethics and Government Reform.  "He said, 'Mr. Walpin, the president wants me to tell you that he really appreciates your service, but it's time to move on,'" Walpin recalls.  "Eisen said, 'You can either resign, or I'll tell you that we'll have to terminate you.'"

Rep. Darrell Issa, ranking Republican on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform said "the immediate effective termination of Mr. Walpin and the vague explanation offered by the President as the reason for his decision" do not meet the standards required by the law covering inspectors general. The Walpin firing, Issa continues, raises the "same concerns" as those surrounding President Bush's decision to fire several U.S. attorneys.

Missouri Sen. Claire McCaskill has become the first Democrat to question the White House over the firing of AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin.  McCaskill, who, like Republican Sen. Charles Grassley, is a champion of inspectors general, co-wrote the 2008 legislation requiring the president to give 30 days' notice, and cause, before firing an inspector general.

In dismissing Walpin, the president seemed to trample on the law -- a law he himself had co-sponsored as a senator -- that protects inspectors general from political influence and retribution. In addition, it appears that at least part of the reason Walpin was fired was for the tenacity he showed in investigating misuse of AmeriCorps money by a friend and supporter of the president, Kevin Johnson, the mayor of Sacramento, California. Walpin got the goods -- evidence of Johnson's serious misuse of federal dollars -- and the inspector general ended up getting fired for his troubles.

Can Republicans in Congress get to the bottom of President Obama's sudden -- and suspicious -- decision to fire AmeriCorps inspector general Gerald Walpin? The answer is no -- unless some. Democrats show interest in what could possibly be the first scandal, or at least mini-scandal, of the Obama administration.

In 1993, just after Bill Clinton was elected and Democrats controlled both the House and Senate, a lone Republican congressman, Rep. Bill Clinger, wanted to investigate the suspicious firings of the White House Travel Office staff.
But majority Democrats had no inclination to pursue the matter. Clinger tried and tried, wrote letter after letter, and jumped up and down, but he didn't begin to get results until after November 1994, when Republicans took control of both Houses of Congress.
When it comes to investigating allegations of wrongdoing, Republicans today are right back where they were in 1993.
So the question is will President Obama going to get away with breaking the law? Not if we the people speak up.

Obama will not say anything about Iran elections but he's concern?

Obama Says Iran Must Pick Its Own Leaders - WSJ.com

President Barack Obama on Monday for the first time voiced concerns about the way Iran's election was conducted, though he fell short of calls from some democracy activists that he formally denounce the vote.

Mr. Obama said he was deeply troubled by the violence surrounding the election, but stressed it was up to the Iranian people to choose their leadership. He said he would maintain his policy of directly negotiating with Iran's leaders on its nuclear program, irrespective of the vote.

"It is up to Iranians to make decisions about who Iran's leaders will be. We respect Iranian sovereignty and want to avoid the United States being the issue inside of Iran," Mr. Obama said, after a meeting with Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi.

President Barack Obama proud of his Muslim roots.

Obama said, "What I would say to those people who put so much hope and energy and optimism into the political process , I would say to them that the world is watching and inspired by their participation, but the United States will do nothing. Any push by Mr. Obama to overtly support Iranian opposition candidate Mir Hossein Mousavi could make diplomatic talks more difficult, between the Obama administration and Mr. Ahmadinejad or Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The message is a dramatic shift in tone from that of the Bush
administration, which included Iran, along with North Korea and Iraq,
in an "axis of evil." It also echoes Obama's inaugural speech, in which
he said to the Muslim world, "we seek a new way forward, based on
mutual interest and mutual respect."

Mutual Interest and mutual respect. Ahmadinejad quotes.

"They have invented a myth that Jews were massacred and place this above God, religions and the prophets."

"We ask the West to remove what they created sixty years ago and if they do not listen to our recommendations, then the Palestinian nation and other nations will eventually do this for them."

  • "The real Holocaust is what is happening in Palestine where the Zionists avail themselves of the fairy tale of Holocaust as blackmail and justification for killing children and women and making innocent people homeless."

"The West claims that more than six million Jews were killed in World War II and to compensate for that they established and support Israel. If it is true that the Jews were killed in Europe, why should Israel be established in the East, in Palestine?"

  • "Remove Israel before it is too late and save yourself from the fury of regional nations."

  • "The skirmishes in the occupied land are part of a war of destiny. The outcome of hundreds of years of war will be defined in Palestinian land. As the Imam said, Israel must be wiped off the map."

  • "[There is] no significant need for the United States."

  • "Could [9/11] be planned and executed without coordination with intelligence and security services - or their extensive infiltration? Of course this is just an educated guess. Why have the various aspects of the attacks been kept secret? Why are we not told who botched their responsibilities? And, why aren't those responsible and the guilty parties identified and put on trial?"

President Obama what do you have in mutual interest and mutual respect with Mr. Ahmadinejad? Can't say anything to Mr. Ahmadinejad but this is what he can say to Israel.

Ahead of his trip to the Middle East, President Obama is making clear that he won't budge an inch from his demand that the Israelis freeze all settlement construction, on both sides of the fence, and even in Jerusalem proper -- what Obama once called the undivided capital of Israel when he was still campaigning for president.

President what mutual interest and respect do you have with Israel?

Global warming alarmist under stress as temperatures fall.

Crops under stress as temperatures fall - Telegraph

For the second time in little over a year, it looks as though the world may be heading for a serious food crisis, thanks to our old friend "climate change". In many parts of the world recently the weather has
not been too brilliant for farmers. After a fearsomely cold winter, June brought heavy snowfall across large parts of western Canada and the northern states of the American Midwest. In Manitoba last week, it was -4ÂșC. North Dakota had its first June snow for 60 years.

There was midsummer snow not just in Norway and the Cairngorms, but even in Saudi Arabia. At least in the southern hemisphere it is winter, but snowfalls in New Zealand and Australia have been abnormal. There have been frosts in Brazil, elsewhere in South America they have had prolonged droughts, while in China they have had to cope with abnormal rain and freak hailstorms, which in one province killed 20 people.

Weather in the Chicago area; The cloudy, chilly and rainy open to June here has been the talk of the
town. So far this June is running more than 12 degrees cooler than last year, and the clouds, rain and chilly lake winds have been persistent. The average temperature at O'Hare International Airport through Friday has been only 59.5 degrees: nearly 7 degrees below normal and the
coldest since records there began 50 years ago.

    An Inconvenient Truth
shows us what Al Gore has been doing since conceding the U.S. presidential election to George W. Bush in 2000. He has been traveling the world, standing before audiences large and small, and trying to persuade them that reducing global warming is not a political issue but
    a moral imperative.

The heart of Gore’s message is that the way to prevent the potential catastrophe global warming represents is for each of us to make a personal commitment to bring about lasting change—in our own lives, our communities and the world. According to the science Gore presents so expertly, the world has 10 years or less to turn things around before it is too late.

The official position of the World Natural Health Organization in regards to global warming is that there is NO GLOBAL WARMING! Global warming is nothing more than just another hoax, just like Y2K
and the global freezing claims in the 1960's and 70's were. Global warming is being used to generate fear and panic. Those behind this movement are using it to control people's lives and for financial gain.
Gore has built a "green money-making machine capable of eventually generating billions of dollars for investors, including himself, but he set it up so that the average Joe can't afford to play on Gore's
    terms," writes blogger Dan Riehl.

Gore has described the lifestyle he and his wife Tipper live as "carbon neutral," meaning he tries to offset any energy usage, including plane flights and car trips, by "purchasing verifiable reductions in CO2 elsewhere."

But it turns out he pays for his extra-large carbon footprint through Generation Investment Management, a London-based company with offices in Washington, D.C., for which he serves as chairman. The company was established to take financial advantage of new technologies and solutions related to combating "global warming," reports blogger Bill Hobbs.

On November 17, 2008 President-elect Barack Obama clarified, in a talk recorded for YouTube, that the US will enter a cap and trade system to limit global warming.
The 2010 United States federal budget proposes to support clean energy development with a 10-year investment of US $15 billion per year, generated from the sale of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions credits. Under the proposed cap-and-trade program, all GHG emissions credits would be auctioned off, generating an estimated $78.7 billion in additional revenue in 2012, steadily increasing to $83 billion by 2019.
So as you can see my friend, those like Al Gore who push Global Warming are like the snake oil seller of old. Pulling the wool over your eyes to make money off of you. Please don't drink the snake oil.

    Global Warming Hoax

Judge Sonia Sotomayor Racist or just wrong more than 60% of the time.

Sotomayor reversed 60% by high court - Washington Times

With Judge Sonia Sotomayor already facing questions over her 60 percent reversal rate, the Supreme Court could dump another problem into her lap next month if, as many legal analysts predict, the court overturns one of her rulings upholding a race-based employment decision.

Three of the five majority opinions written by Judge Sotomayor for the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals and reviewed by the Supreme Court were reversed, providing a potent line of attack raised by opponents Tuesday after President Obama announced he will nominate the 54-year-old Hispanic woman to the high court.

    p

Judged by a wise Latina woman or a plain white guy.

Judge Sonia Sotomayor attempted to clarify her controversial remark Tuesday that a "wise
Latina woman" could reach a "better" decision than a white male, telling Judiciary Chairman Pat Leahy. Sotomayor told Leahy that what she meant is that people have different backgrounds but "there is only one law," and "ultimately and completely" she would follow the law.

Sorry this does not explain the comment that a wise Latina woman could reach a better decision than a wise white man with his life experiences. I have been around a lot of prejudice white people and they say the same thing about black people. Then they say they are not prejudice because they have black friends.

Sonia Sotomayor  will face tough questioning about her 2008 decision as part of a three-judge panel to rule against a group of white firefighters in New Haven, Connecticut who say they were denied promotions because of their race.
The firefighters' case stems from a 2004 lawsuit filed by 19 white firefighters and one Hispanic firefighter who said they would have been promoted had the city of New Haven not thrown out the results because
no blacks had scored high enough to qualify.
The city argued that if it had gone ahead with the promotions based on the test results, it would have risked a lawsuit claiming that the exam hurt minorities in violation of the 1964 federal civil rights law.

Sotomayor sat on a three-judge panel that heard an appeal of the case and sided with the city, affirming a lower court's opinion against the white fire fighters and did not explain its reasoning behind the decision, prompting a fellow appeals court judge to criticize the decision as "perfunctory."

Court watchers predict a majority of justices will rule in favor of New Haven, Conn., firefighters who said the city discriminated against them after it tested them for promotions, then scrapped the results after it
realized a disproportionate number of whites would be promoted. Judge Sotomayor was part of a unanimous three-judge panel that issued an unsigned opinion ruling against the firefighters and in favor of the city.

When the Supreme Court overturns this ruling, Judge Stomayor will be overturned four out of six times, so she made the wrong decision again. Not ready for the Supreme Court.
